ZNS started gas production at the Krynytska field

Euro-Prompostach LLC, part of the Zahidnadraservis (ZNS) Group, launched the first well at Krynytska field in the Lviv region on August 23, the company told ExPro.

According to the company, two wells have already been drilled at the Khrystynska field, one of which has been connected to the gas transmission system via a 10.7 km pipeline. The wells were drilled with an IDECO SBS DIR-806 drilling rig. Goryzonty Drilling Company carried out the work.

At the Krynytska field, 3D seismic surveys were previously conducted by Georozvidka, part of the ZNS Group. The production rate of the connected well is 20 tcm per day. By the end of the year, two more wells are planned to be drilled at this field.

Krynytska field

The special permit for the Krynytska field (excluding the area intersecting with the Bilche-Volytsko-Uherske storage facility, horizon XVI, at depths of 800–1130 m) was sold at an auction by the Ukrainian Geological Survey on September 24, 2024.

The buyer was Euro-Prompostach LLC with a bid of UAH 108.632 million (excluding VAT), surpassing competitors Nadrahazvydobuvannya (ESCO-Pivnich Group), Stryinaftogaz, and state-owned Ukrgasvydobuvannya. The starting price of the field was UAH 5.94 million.

Geological and geophysical exploration of the Krynytska field for oil and gas potential began in the 1940s–50s, when the Precarpathian Depression was systematically surveyed by regional geophysical mapping and structural exploratory drilling.

Euro-Prompostach

Euro-Prompostach, which holds the license for Krynytska field, was registered on March 15, 2023, with Taras Veklyn as the ultimate beneficial owner, according to YouControl.

However, in the summer of 2025, the ultimate beneficiary changed to Zinoviy Kozytskyi, owner of the Zahidnadraservis Group. Vasyl Melekh was appointed as the new director, who is also the director of another ZNS Group company – Zakhidnaftoinvest.

Zahidnadraservis Group is the largest private gas producer in the Western oil and gas region of Ukraine. In the summer of this year, the company for the first time outperformed Ukrnaftoburinnya, entering the Top-4 private gas producers in Ukraine. According to ExPro, in July 2025, the company produced 38.8 mcm of natural gas, a new record in the history of Zahidnadraservis. As of the end of August 2025, the average daily natural gas production of the ZNS Group is about 1.27 mcm per day.
