Yuriy Tkachuk becomes new Naftogaz Management Board member
The Supervisory Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC elected Yuriy Tkachuk, the current head of UkrGasVydobuvannya, as a member of the Naftogaz Management Board at a meeting on Monday, July 13.
Tkachuk took office on July 14, 2026 and was elected as a Naftogaz Management Board member until July 14, 2031.
Who is Yurii Tkachuk?
Naftogaz says Tkachuk has more than 25 years of experience working in large companies in Ukraine’s energy and industrial sectors.
He worked as CFO of Zaporizhtransformator PJSC, CFO of the Industrial Division of Energy Standard Group, and business partner for economics and finance at the Technical Support Division of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC.

Since November 2022, he served as CFO of Ukrnafta JSC, where he was responsible for implementing the financial strategy, risk management and investment policy. From May to December 2025, he served as acting head of the company. After leaving Ukrnafta, he became CEO of UkrGasVydobuvannya.
He graduated from Zaporizhzhia Engineering Academy with a degree in engineering economics with honors, received an Executive MBA with honors from the International Institute of Business, and also holds a certificate from JICA’s management program in Japan.
According to media reports, Tkachuk may become acting CEO of Naftogaz after Sergii Koretskyi is appointed Prime Minister of Ukraine, which is why Tkachuk was elected to the Management Board.
Naftogaz Management Board
As ExPro reported, on June 23, the Supervisory Board elected Pavlo Livertovskyi as a member of the Naftogaz Management Board. He will also serve as the company’s CFO.
In addition to Livertovskyi and Tkachuk, the Naftogaz Management Board includes CEO Sergii Koretskyi, Legal and Regulatory Affairs Director Oksana Volynets, Human Capital Director Olena Artazei and Commercial Director Sergii Fedorenko.
