The share of RES in the structure of electricity generation in March 2025 was almost 9%

The share of renewables in the structure of electricity generation in Ukraine in March 2025 was almost 9%. ExPro sources in the market reported this.

According to ExPro sources, electricity production from renewables in March 2025 decreased by 7% compared to the same period in 2024.

The largest share in the generation structure continues to be occupied by nuclear power plants, 52%. The share of thermal power plants and CHP is 32%.

As previously reported by ExPro, in 2024 the volume of electricity generated from renewable sources (solar power plants, wind power plants, bio and SHPPs) in Ukraine increased by 6.4% compared to 2023 - to 11 million MWh.

In general, the share of renewables in the balance was almost 11%.
