Nataliya Boyko appointed CEO of GTS Operator of Ukraine

The Supervisory Board of GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC appointed Nataliya Boyko CEO of the company on August 18 following an open competition, the operator’s press service reported.

The selection process was conducted with the involvement of international recruitment firm Odgers Berndtson. More than 20 candidates were considered.

Boyko had served as acting CEO of GTS Operator of Ukraine since February 7, 2026. Before that, she was a state representative on the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC.

“We highly appreciate Nataliya Boyko’s performance as acting CEO. This was a considered decision by the Supervisory Board following a transparent competitive selection process, and we are confident that under her leadership the company will continue implementing the highest standards of corporate governance,” said Jan Chadam, an independent member and acting chair of the Supervisory Board.

“The completion of the Supervisory Board’s full composition in July 2026 made it possible to conduct a transparent selection process for the CEO position. This is an important step for the stable development of GTS Operator of Ukraine. We expect the company to continue operating effectively, particularly in protecting the gas transmission system,” said Anatolii Kutsevol, Ukraine’s Deputy Energy Minister for European Integration.

Boyko has more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector. She previously served as deputy chair of the Naftogaz Supervisory Board, adviser to two Ukrainian prime ministers and deputy energy minister for European integration.

Before Boyko became acting CEO, Vladyslav Medvediev temporarily headed the company. Boyko is the operator’s first permanent CEO since Dmytro Lyppa was dismissed in early 2025. The competition for the position was conducted twice and was completed only after 18 months.

As ExPro previously reported, Lyppa was recently placed on a wanted list. His predecessor as head of GTS Operator of Ukraine, Sergiy Makogon, has also been served with a notice of suspicion by the National Police.
