Electricity generation from renewable sources in Ukraine in 2024 increased by 6.4%

In 2024, the volume of electricity generated from renewable sources (solar power plants, wind power plants, bio and SHPPs) in Ukraine increased by 6.4% compared to 2023 - to 11 million MWh. In general, the share of RES in the balance was almost 11%.

As noted in ExPro, the annual maximum of production from RES (by volume) was in August - 1165 thousand MWh. And the minimum indicator - in December.

We remind you that the first "green" auction of this year will start in March.

The schedule of auctions for the distribution of support quotas for 2025 is as follows:

- For 33 MW of solar power plants - March 2025.

- For 100 MW of wind power plants - April 2025

- For 47 MW of other sources - May 2025

- For 150 MW of wind power plants - July 2025
