DTEK and Chinese Risen Energy concluded PV modules’ supply contract for Pokrovskaya SPP
Chinese company Risen Energy Co. has concluded a contract with DTEK Renewables B.V. consolidating renewable energy assets of DTEK for supply PV modules to construct Pokrovskaya solar power plant with overall capacity 240 MW. Referring to Risen Energy’s information, Cision PR Newswire reported about that on February, 19.
“The Chinese firm will provide all the modules required for the 240 MW (alternating current) or 323 MW (direct current) PV Pokrovskaya SPP project," the company has informed and added the project has the installed capacity of 240 MW and will be fully equipped with Risen Energy's 72-cell 370W high-efficiency PERC monocrystalline modules.
“The collaboration with DTEK Renewables will become a major step in the company's further expansion into Ukraine, an energy market that is experiencing the transformative period and has the urgent need for renewable energy products," said Risen Energy Sales Vice President Zhao Zelin.
As ExPro reported, on February, 18 DTEK announced about signing the contract with German company Siemens for supply of electric equipment (transformers, switchgears, control systems) for Pokrovskaya SPP’s construction. Energy holding plans to build the plant in the territory of the former manganese mining plant in Nikopol District of Dnipropetrovsk Region. In the middle of January 2019 DTEK Renewables B.V. finished the construction and put into operation the currently largest Nikopol solar plant with 246,154 MW capacity. According to the General Director of DTEK, Mr. Maxim Timchenko, the energy holding plans to invest about 1 billion euros into renewables (solar and wind) and reach 1 GW capacity of alternative sources till the end of 2019.
