The weighted average price of DAM in November increased by 7% - up to UAH 4,357.8/MW*h

The weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead market in Ukraine increased by 7.2% to UAH 4,357.8/MW*h. This is evidenced by the data of the "Market Operator", reports ExPro.

The average daily volume of supply on the "day-ahead" market in November amounted to 102.5 thousand MWh, which is 40% more than in October; the average daily volume of demand was 74.7 thousand MWh, which is 49% more than the figure of the previous month.

According to ExPro calculations, hourly prices reached the maximum price limits only in 25 billing periods (25 hours out of 720 per month), which is almost three times less than the similar indicator for October.

We will remind you that the NEURC has established new limit prices on the electricity market (on the day-ahead market, the intraday market and the balancing market). They will be effective from December 1:

1) on the "day-ahead" market: maximum limit prices from 00:00 to 07:00 and from 23:00 to 24:00 - UAH 3,000.00/MWh; from 07:00 to 08:00, from 11:00 to 17:00 – UAH 5,600.00/MWh; from 08:00 to 11:00 - UAH 6,900.00/MWh; from 17:00 to 23:00 - UAH 7,500.00/MWh; minimum marginal price – UAH 10.00/MWh;

2) on the intraday market: maximum marginal prices from 00:00 to 07:00 and from 23:00 to 24:00 – UAH 3,000.00/MWh; from 07:00 to 08:00, from 11:00 to 17:00 – UAH 5,600.00/MWh; from 08:00 to 11:00 - UAH 6,900.00/MWh; from 17:00 to 23:00 - UAH 7,500.00/MWh; minimum marginal price – UAH 10.00/MWh;

3) on the balancing market: the maximum marginal price is 125% of the DAM price determined by the market operator for each calculation period of the corresponding day of supply; the minimum marginal price is UAH 0.01/MWh.

The resolution enters into force on November 30 (for the trading day - December 1).
