In February 2025, Ukraine increased electricity imports by almost 30%, compared to January 2025 - to 244 thousand MWh, according to ExPro Electricity monitoring data.
The largest amount of electricity was imported from Hungary, 35% of the total volume, and from Slovakia, 30%. The least amount of electricity was supplied from Moldova (part of the volumes is possibly re-imported from Romania).
Over the month, imports from Hungary increased by 77%. Compared to February 2024, electricity imports increased by 2.9 times.
