Ukrtransgaz announces three additional tenders for natural gas procurement

On august 16, 2018, the Ukrtransgaz announced on Prozorro online procurement portal three additional tenders for supply of natural gas. These are one UAH 455 mil tender for procurement of 50 mil cbm of natural gas, and two other UAH 182 mil tenders each for supply of 20 mil cbm of natural per each of the two procurement bids. The three tenders altogether are to procure 90 mil cbm of natural gas for a threshold of UAH 819 mil without VAT. An average price for procurement in these three tenders is 9,100 UAH per one thousand of natural gas without VAT, or UAH 10,200 per one thousand of natural gas including VAT. The solicitation documents and clarification on the tenders can be obtained till September 7, 2018. The deadline for acceptance of bid proposals is September 17, 2018. The auctioning for all three tenders will be held on September 23, 2018. The bid winners shall supply the contracted gas batches within October 1, 2018 - April 31, 2019.

Noteworthy, the Ukrtransgaz conducted other 8 tenders for procurement of 1.7 bil cbm of natural gas at threshold prices totaling UAH 14.4 bil. In brief, we reported that Naftogaz won in 7 out of 8 tenders, and the Trafigura Ukraine company was awarded a procurement contract for the remaining one bid.
