Ukrnafta plans to repair three old wells in the Poltava region

On May 11, 2024, Ukrnafta PJSC announced a tender for the workover of well No.409 at the Kharkivtsivske field, well No. 7 at the Vasylivske field, and well No.21 at the Chyzhivske uplift of the Hlynsko-Rozbyshivske field. All the wells are located in the Poltava region. The tender was announced on the Prozorro platform with an expected value of UAH 87.06 million (excluding VAT). The term of service provision – until December 31, 2025.

Companies may submit tender proposals until May 24, 2024; seek clarification or appeal the procurement terms until May 21, 2024.

According to the published information, all wells are production wells. Well No. 409 of the Kharkivtsivske field is a gas-condensate well with a depth of 5,801 m, commissioned in 1992 with a natural gas flow rate of 18 tcm per day. Well No.7 of Vasylivske field is a gas well with a depth of 5,009 meters. Well No. 21 of the Hlynsko-Rozbyshivske field is an oil well with a depth of 4,318 meters, commissioned in 1978 with a daily production rate of 0.9 tons of oil.

The maximum time allotted for the workover of wells No. 409 and No. 21 – 100 calendar days, and well No. 7 – 130 calendar days. The wells are planned to be repaired using a lifting rig with a lifting capacity of at least 125 tons.

The contractor is to drill insulating cement bridges (sand plugs and cement sleeves), remove old equipment from the wells, and transfer the wells to lower horizons. Drilling is planned to be carried out using downhole screw motors (140-168 mm in diameter).

Ukrnafta expects the contractor to conduct hydraulic fracturing of wells, geophysical surveys, fishing operations, and coiled tubing operations under the guidance of service companies.

As a reminder, in April Ukrnafta signed contracts with a number of companies for well workovers: UBS CRS LLC (UAH 13.75 million), Oranta Ltd LLC (UAH 34.3 million), and Ukrburservis LLC (UAH 20.63 million). Besides, Ukrainian Service Drilling Company-1 PE expects to sign contracts for workovers of Ukrnafta's wells for a total of UAH 41.27 million.
