Ukraine is starting to import electricity from Slovakia more actively

Ukrainian companies are starting to import electricity from Slovakia more actively.

Among those who have already supplied resources from Europe are D.Trading, ECU, ERU Trading, and Nexttrade.

This is evidenced by the data of ExPro, ENTSO-E and the auction platform of NEC "Ukrenergo".

According to ExPro, on October 27, the state energy trader "ECU" delivered 1 MW at 1 p.m. The ERU Trading company also started testing imports from Slovakia on October 29, 5 MW was delivered within 13-15 hours.

The ultimate beneficiaries of ERU Trading are Dale Wesley Perry and Yaroslav Mudryi. Previously, among the founders of "ERU Trading" was the former director of the "Integrated Gas Business" division in the structure of Naftogaz JSC Andriy Favorov.

The largest volumes for this period (October 27 - November 1) are imported by "D.Trading", which is part of the structure of the largest private energy holding DTEK. The trader supplied electricity from Slovakia on October 30 for 10-15 hours, 15 MW each. Already on November 1, "D.Trading" will import 25 MW from Slovakia within 11-15 hours.

By the way, on October 30, another company - Nexttrade - joined D.Trading for import. The company supplied 10 MW at 10-15 hours.

As reported in ExPro Electricity Weekly, at the end of last week, the proposed capacity to import electricity from Europe started to decrease. Already on October 30 - November 2, the maximum permitted capacity for supplies from Europe was 50 MW (25 MW from Romania and 25 MW from Slovakia).

As previously reported in ExPro, Ukraine stopped exporting electricity from Europe on October 11 due to massive shelling of energy infrastructure. At the same time, some companies began to consider the possibility of importing electricity.
