SE "Energoatom" started selling base load for the first decade of November. according to ExPro's calculations, the weighted average selling price of "Energoatom" for the first decade of November reached UAH 3,428/MWh, which is 3.2% higher than the corresponding period last month.
The results of the Energoatom auction are published on the website of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.
According to the UEEX, nuclear power generation contracted for the first position of 570 MW of base load for November 1-10, sales prices ranged from UAH 3,333 to UAH 3,500/MWh. According to the second position, 899 MW of the "base" were sold at UAH 3,328-3,470/MWh.
42 companies became buyers at this auction, including "ECU", "D.Trading", "Dniprostal-Energo", "Y. Commodities".
According to ExPro, the base load indices on the "day-ahead" market for the last few days have been at the level of about UAH 3,330/MWh, which corresponds to the average selling price of "Energoatom" for the third decade of October (approximately UAH 3,328/MWh).
In fact, since November, the average price of the "base" from Energoatom has increased by UAH 100 per 1 MWh.
As reported in the October 26 issue of ExPro Electricity Daily, the "Guaranteed Buyer" will resume auctions with differentiated bids by energy sources this Friday. The state-owned enterprise will offer 10 MW of "bases" on November 3-10 separately from biothermal power plants, WPP and HPP. Also, block applications will be offered for "daytime" hours from SPP (30 MW each for 8-16, 9-15, 10-14). The starting price of the base load at these auctions is UAH 3,333/MWh, block bids are UAH 3,950/MWh.
Also, as previously reported in ExPro Electricity Weekly, last week the Regulator had to approve new price caps on short-term electricity markets. However, this decision was postponed indefinitely. Sources in the market report that this is due to the lack of agreement regarding involvement in the PSO mechanism and heat generation (to "Energoatom" and "Ukrhydroenergo"), which was one of the "requirements" for the increase price caps.
