The average price of electricity in DAM in August increased by 13.42%

The average price of electricity on the day-ahead market in August 2023 increased by 13.42% compared to July 2023 - up to UAH 4162.23/MWh.

As reported by ExPro, the highest weighted average price for the month was on August 28 - UAH 4,712/MWh, on the same day the largest deficit for the period - -7,680 MWh was observed. The lowest price was formed on August 12 (Saturday) - UAH 3,359/MWh.

In August, the average daily volume of sales on the day-ahead market amounted to 53,379 MWh, the average volume of supply - 61,991 MWh, and demand - 57,444 MWh.

According to the "Market Operator", the price index for the day (8-23) in August increased by 13.56% - to UAH 4,553.12/MWh, for the night (1-7.24) increased by 13.55% - up to UAH 2912.54/MWh, for the peak (20-23) by 7.28% - up to UAH 7196.23/MWh, for the semi-peak (8-19) by 17.66% - up to 3672, UAH 09/MWh.
