Sanzhar Zharkeshov resigned from UGV

Sanzhar Zharkeshov (a citizen of Kazakhstan) resigned from the position of Deputy General Director for Exploration and Development of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC. This was reported in the information on the change of the company officials on January 21, 2022. No one has been appointed to replace him yet.

We should remind that Sanzhar Zharkeshov was appointed Deputy Head for the Exploration and Production Division at Naftogaz in May 2020. His task was to increase the efficiency of the subsurface function.

Before that, Mr. Zharkeshov worked for ExxonMobil in Kazakhstan (Kashagan), the USA, and the Russian Federation (Island of Sakhalin). From 2018 to 2019 he was a consultant at McKinsey and Company. In 2019, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Ecology, Geology, and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In October 2020, he spoke in a special interview with ExPro about his vision for the development of Naftogaz's resource base.
