Russian forces attack Naftogaz oil and gas facilities for the second consecutive day
For the second day in a row, attacks on oil and gas facilities of the Naftogaz Group have continued, the company’s press service reported.
During the day on February 9, the enemy again shelled the company’s production assets in the Poltava region and carried out new massive attacks on enterprises in the Sumy region, which are still ongoing. Units of the State Emergency Service and all relevant services are working on site.
“There is damage to and destruction of equipment. Fortunately, there have been no casualties. Once the security situation is stabilized, our specialists will begin eliminating the consequences of the attack,” said Sergii Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz.
This marks the 20th attack on Naftogaz Group facilities since the beginning of 2026.
As previously reported, on the night of February 8, Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack on Naftogaz Group facilities in the Poltava region.
