Natural gas reserves in Ukrainian UGS surpassed 13 bcm

On August 30, natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground gas storages (UGS) exceeded 13 bcm, according to ExPro estimates. Storages are 42% full.

The injection of natural gas to UGS in the last month remains at the level of 31-40 mcm per day. In total, during August, about 1.1 bcm of gas was injected into storage facilities, which is 2% more than in July 2022.

Since the beginning of this year's injecting season, more than 4.2 bcm of natural gas have been injected into storage facilities.

It is expected that the volume of gas injection during September will slightly less than 1 bcm per month, but they may increase with an increase in the volume of natural gas imports from Europe.

Market participants express confidence that in almost any scenario of the heating season, the accumulated gas in storage facilities will be enough to provide consumers with a resource.
