Mykola Kadenskyi headed SE Naftogaz Bioenergy

Mykola Kadenskyi was appointed head of SE Naftogaz Bioenergy, part of the Naftogaz Group, on October 27, 2025, NaftoRynok reported, citing its own sources within the Naftogaz structure.

He became the fourth head of the enterprise in the past two years.

Who is Kadenskyi?

It is known that before joining Naftogaz, Kadenskyi held the position of Head of Network Development Department at GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC. At the enterprise, Kadenskyi was responsible for the strategy of implementing distributed power generation. Before joining the GTS Operator, he worked at Energoatom from 2015 to 2020.

He graduated from the National Aviation University with a degree in Energy: “Gas Turbine Installations” and completed postgraduate studies in the field of “Energy Systems and Complexes.”

Previous heads of Naftogaz Bioenergy

One of the previous heads of Naftogaz Bioenergy was Oleksii Butenko, who was dismissed from his position on February 22, 2023. In March 2023, he filed a lawsuit requesting to cancel the dismissal orders of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and SE Naftogaz Bioenergy, reinstate him as CEO, recover average earnings for the period of forced absence, and oblige SE Naftogaz Bioenergy to consider his application for parental leave until his child reaches the age of three.

In addition to Butenko, over the past six years, the heads of Naftogaz Bioenergy have also included the former CEO of the well-known Ukrainian company Chumak, based in Kakhovka, Kherson region, Swedish citizen Karl Sturen, as well as Anatolii Oliinyk, Anton Myahkov, and Yevhen Orlovskyi.
