Mavriky Kalugin becomes Naftogaz Chief Executive Officer

Mavriky Kalugin, Naftogaz Management Board Member, became Naftogaz Group CEO. Serhiy Boev, who had previously held the office of Naftogaz's Strategy and Business Analytics Department's Head, became Naftogaz Group Strategy and Business Development Director. Such staff changes took place on November 26, 2021, Naftogaz noted.

As Chief Executive Officer, he will be responsible for increasing the development pace and ensuring Naftogaz's profitability, coordinating the search for new business opportunities, and ensuring the implementation of the company's investment policy. Mavriky Kalugin's scope of responsibility will also include issues of operational HSE standards and labour productivity at Naftogaz enterprises.

Sergey Boev headed Strategy and Business Analytics Function in Naftogaz Group. He will organize and coordinate the development of the group's corporate strategy and consolidated business plan, as well as the analytical function and investment management of Naftogaz. In particular, he will be responsible for managing the Naftogaz business and assets portfolio.

Mr. Boev will also introduce new prospective areas of activity, in particular, green energy, including attracting partners and the necessary resources to turn such opportunities into new business directions for Naftogaz. One of the first important steps in the new role will be to develop an effective approach to portfolio management and develop a strategy for attracting partners to improve the efficiency of business and asset management.
