KUB-Gas plans to construct well No. 26 at Makiyivske field

KUB-Gas LLC plans construction of the prospecting well No. 26 at Makiyivske gas condensate field (GCF), located in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. It was reported in the Register of the Environmental Impact Assessments on March 6.

It is reported that the drilling of the well is expected using a diesel-driven drilling rig and the use of downhole drilling motors. The designed depth of the vertical prospecting well is 3,610 m, with a probable deepening to 3,800 m according to the logging results.

According to EIA construction of well No. 26 at Makiyivske GCF is expected to last 85 days; 30 days are required for preparatory and construction works, 40 days – for drilling and 15 days – for casing setting. Recently, KUB Energy (35% ownership of KUB-Gas LLC), reported the completion of well No. 30 at Makiyivske field, where no commercial gas inflows were obtained.
