GEOLOG offers innovative mud logging technology for evaluation of the offshore field reservoirs
Kemal Hekimoglu, new technology manager at GEOLOG (The Netherlands), spoke about successful mud logging technologies for evaluation of the reservoir in the offshore projects during the geological session of the OOC2021, held on September 23-24, 2021.

In the report, the specialist described in detail mud logging technologies for evaluation of the reservoir by the quantitative composition of gas components and their isotopes. The report also gave examples of applications for exploration drilling at offshore fields.
Kemal said that GEOLOG has been conducting geological and technological research for over 38 years during the construction of exploration and appraisal wells, both onshore and on the continental shelf.
Accumulated experience allows optimally selecting a range of services to maximize the amount of geological and geophysical information obtained during the construction of the wells, and improve the safety of the works, and reduce risks. GEOLOG equipment allows providing services at a high technical level with high quality.
Geological and technological research includes the study of the composition and properties of reservoir fluids and rocks in the circulating drilling mud, and the properties and parameters of technological processes at different stages of well construction with reference to the results of research to the time of the controlled technological process and to the section of the studied well.
GEOLOG has recently started operating in Ukraine and has an office in Kyiv.
