Gas imports reached a record 46 million cubic meters per day

On the first day of May, Ukraine imported 46.84 million cubic meters of gas from the EU countries, which is the highest rate since November 24, 2017. This is evidenced by the data of Ukrtransgaz GTS operator.

In particular, 32.09 million cubic meters came from Slovakia, 11.3 million cubic meters – from Hungary and 3.46 million cubic meters – from Poland.

Last year, on that day, gas imports amounted to 35.096 million cubic meters, which is by 33 per cent lower than this year, or by 11.75 million cubic meters.
