ENTSO-E agreed to another increase in commercial exchanges between Ukraine and the EU - Kudrytskyi

The European Union ENTSO-E has agreed to another increase in commercial electricity exchanges between Ukraine and the European Union - up to 400 MW for export and up to 500 MW for import.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, chairman of the board of NEC "Ukrenergo", talked about this reorganization in an interview with Ukraine for RBC.

"We have not started importing, but if the need arises, we can. Recently, during these attacks, ENTSO-E (network of electricity transmission system operators in Europe, - ed.) decided to further increase commercial exchanges between Ukraine and Europe: up to 400 MW for export and up to 500 MW for import. We have the technical ability to import. Just as we have the possibility of requesting emergency aid from the EU," Kudrytskyi said.

According to the head of Ukrenergo, the import of electricity will begin this heating season. According to him, the largest attacks in the context of energy infrastructure were noted in the Western, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions.
