DTEK will commission Nikopolska SPP beginning 2019

DTEK energy holding plans to accomplish construction of Nikopolska Solar Power Plant (located in Dnipropetrovska Oblast) with output capacity of 200 MW, the ever biggest solar plant in Ukraine. According to the company’s CEO, Mr. Maxim Timchenko, DTEK invested €230 into this project. The contractor to the project is China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC). The solar plant will have 750 thousand solar power panels made by two Chinese companies: Seraphim Solar System and Trina Solar. Te plant will have 80 inverters to process the 280 mil kWh annual output.

Mr. Timchenko also added, that by the end of 2019 DTEK will invest estimated €1 billion into renewable energy facilities (wind farms and solar power plants), thus increasing the company’s renewable energy output capacity to 1 GW.
