The international partner company Expert Petroleum, with which the PEC was signed, plans to give a new life to 13 depleted fields and increase production over 5 years by 300 million cubic meters of gas, according to the company.

Naftogaz noted that in the coming months, representatives of Expert Petroleum will conduct audits of production facilities, environmental conditions, and occupational and industrial safety systems. After that, together with the Steering Committee of Naftogaz, they will form production plans and start work on the fields.

Naftogaz plans to continue attracting partners to increase production at depleted fields, the Group said.

“These are 13 “small” and “old” gas fields with a complex geological structure, in development of which we hope to see examples of management and optimization, application of new technologies and European management standards by Expert Petroleum representatives. If this practice is successful, we will consider partnership opportunities in other fields in Central and Eastern Ukraine,” Oleksandr Romanyuk, Director for Exploration and Production Division of Naftogaz Group, said.
