A Steering Committee has been formed for the operator Expert Petroleum’s PEC project
Naftogaz of Ukraine appointed a Steering Committee to manage the PEC project, which will be implemented by Expert Petroleum. This is reported by the press service of UGV.
According to the report, the Committee includes four representatives of UGV: Oleksandr Sendega, Director of Lvivgasvydobuvannya, Serhiy Boev, Director for Strategy, Vyacheslav Filatov the Head of the Department of Geological and Technical Monitoring and Planning, Yevhen Stashenko, the Head of the Business Development Department.
The international partner company Expert Petroleum, with which the PEC was signed, plans to give a new life to 13 depleted fields and increase production over 5 years by 300 million cubic meters of gas, according to the company.
Naftogaz noted that in the coming months, representatives of Expert Petroleum will conduct audits of production facilities, environmental conditions, and occupational and industrial safety systems. After that, together with the Steering Committee of Naftogaz, they will form production plans and start work on the fields.
Naftogaz plans to continue attracting partners to increase production at depleted fields, the Group said.
“These are 13 “small” and “old” gas fields with a complex geological structure, in development of which we hope to see examples of management and optimization, application of new technologies and European management standards by Expert Petroleum representatives. If this practice is successful, we will consider partnership opportunities in other fields in Central and Eastern Ukraine,” Oleksandr Romanyuk, Director for Exploration and Production Division of Naftogaz Group, said.
