"We need a reform of the country's energy sector already today," Oleksiy Chernyshov, chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, said during the Kyiv International Economic Forum.

According to Chernyshov, this should become the country's main advantage and potential strength in the future.

"The gas transportation system, underground gas storages, and the third place in terms of gas reserves in Europe — we have a sufficient amount of energy resources to be competitive on the European energy market," the head of Naftogaz said during the panel.

Chernyshov also reminded that gas reserves in underground storages of Ukraine amount to about 16 bcm, including foreign companies storing more than 2 bcm of gas in Ukrainian storages.

According to the head of Naftogaz, with which the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko agrees, this shows the trust in Ukraine by foreign companies, even in the face of a full-scale war.
