Viva Exploration has restored a gas well on Staromizunska area

Viva Exploration LLC has restored a suspended gas well on the Staromizunska area in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, MP from Sluga Narodu political party Oleksandr Matusevych informed on his Facebook page.

According to the MP, the community of Vytvytskaya TC is now actively renovating its administrative premises, and in the future expects rent revenues from gas produced from the wells that will be re-entered and developed by Viva Exploration. In particular, they expect to develop a gas well in the village of Kalna, within the specified TC. It should be noted that these are significant revenues to the local budget, which amount to 3% of the rent, and another 2% goes to regional budgets.

Recall that Viva Exploration" in January 2020 published its intentions in the EIA Registry on re-entry of eight wells on Staromizunska area, and received positive conclusions on them in late June 2020.

According to the EIA, the company plans to carry out major workovers in wells No. 66-Vytvytska, No. 67-Vytvytska, No. 7-Vygoda-Vytvytska, No. 10-Vygoda-Vytvytska, No. 76-Vygoda-Vytvytska, No. 1-Luzhanska, and No. 2-Luzhanskay on Staromizunska area, drill out the cement plugs, restore hydrocarbon production, perform research of energy properties of the deposit, and study the contamination of the bottom-hole zone in the wells. It should be noted that the workover was planned to be carried out using the P-80 mobile drilling rig, operated by PDC.
