UTG begins cooperation with USAID on the modernization of UGS dispatching and automation systems

On February 9, the staff of Ukrtransgaz JSC (UTG) held a meeting with representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Tetra Tech ES. The meeting marked the beginning of a new stage of UTG cooperation with American partners. The press service of UTG reported this.

In the first stage of the implementation of the joint project, it is planned to carry out an in-depth analysis of the existing systems. According to UTG, the collected array of data will allow to development of a detailed strategy for the modernization and development of dispatching and automation systems of underground gas storage in Ukraine. And so, to proceed to the direct implementation of this strategic project for Ukraine.

The goal of this project is to modernize the key systems of the UGS network of Ukraine - dispatching and automation - in accordance with the best global practices. Such an update will increase the efficiency of production processes at UGS and strengthen the safety of gas storage, injection, and withdrawal processes - both for Ukrainian consumers and for international customers of services.
