Ukrnafta wants to receive under management the seized assets of Ukrnaftoburinnya
Ukrnafta PJSC requests that the seized corporate rights of Ukrnaftoburinnia PC PJSC be transferred to its management. This is reported by Economichna Pravda and RBC with reference to Ukrnafta's letter to the Ministry of Economy.
Arguing their desire, the company notes that Ukrnafta has the technical and practical capabilities to increase the production of gas and oil in the Sakhalin field, and, as a result, can increase the production of oil products. The company notes that it can increase oil production at the Sakhalin field by 14%.
Also, Ukrnafta wants to acquire Sirius-1 LLC, Sakhalinske LLC, and East Europe Petroleum LLC, which developed the Sakhalin field together with UNB, into management. The shares of these companies were previously seized and transferred to the management of the Asset Management and Investigation Agency (ARMA).
As reported by ExPro, the Pechersk District Court of the city of Kyiv, by a decision dated April 11, 2023, transferred the corporate rights of Ukrnaftoburinnia PC PJSC to the balance sheet of ARMA. UNB is one of the largest gas production companies in Ukraine. According to ExPro, the company will be among the top 3 private gas production companies in the country in 2022.
At the same time, UNB considers the court's decision regarding the transfer of assets to ARMA illegal.
