Ukrnafta is negotiating with Orlen regarding the export of crude oil to Poland

Ukrnafta PJSC is negotiating with Polish Orlen regarding the export of crude oil to Poland. This was announced by the head of Ukrnafta, Serhii Koretskyi.

According to Koretskyi, this is necessary to free up space in underground storages for newly produced oil.

In addition, Ukrnafta concluded a contract with the Polish company Orlen for the import of oil products to Ukraine. "It is necessary to obtain petroleum products for our own needs and the domestic market directly from producers at the most favorable prices," says Koretskyi.

According to ExPro calculations, Ukraine produced about 2.2 million tons of oil and gas condensate in 2022, 8% (0.2 million tons) less than in 2021. Ukrnafta remains the largest oil producer in Ukraine - the company produced 1.37 million tons of oil and gas condensate in 2022, 8.5% (130 th tons) less than in 2021.

It should be noted that because of repeated Russian attacks, the largest oil consumer - the Kremenchuk Oil Refinery - stopped, which caused a problem with the sale of crude oil, a significant part of which Ukrnafta was accumulating.
