Ukrnafta conducts 3D seismic surveys in its own fields

Ukrnafta PJSC conducts 3D seismic surveys at two sites, the company's press service reports.

The survey area in western Ukraine is 77 square kilometers. A wireless system of nearly 19,000 accelerometer sensors operating simultaneously is used for the survey.

In the East, 98 square kilometers are being surveyed using a cable data logging system that includes 6,000 geophones (4,320 sensors operate simultaneously). In total, seismic surveys in the West are planned for 2024 in the amount of 200 square kilometers at several Ukrnafta license areas.

In the Eastern region, 3D surveys are planned at three fields with a total technological area of about 120 sq km.

"Thus, Ukrnafta specialists will be able to create the most accurate geological models of the objects and successfully drill new wells to increase production," the company comments.
