Ukrgeophysics will conduct geophysical explorations in Ukrnafta’s wells

Ukrgeophysics, a state-owned geophysical enterprise, has won 4 tenders from Ukrnafta PJSC for conducting geophysical explorations in wells and is expecting to sign contracts worth UAH 182.7 million (excluding VAT). The term of the services is through 2024 at Ukrnafta’s wells in the Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. The total expected value of the tenders was UAH 184.5 million (excluding VAT). One company, Ukrgeophysics, took part in all the tenders and won each.

Ukrgeophysics has to perform lithological and stratigraphic dissection of the well sections, correlate them with the sections of neighboring wells, identify reservoir formations in each well section, determine their effective characteristics, and establish the position of contacts between reservoir fluids.

Besides, the company has to determine the optimal perforation intervals to obtain commercial inflow, determine the filtration and capacitive properties and saturation of individual formations, determine the inflow profile and type of fluid (entering the well) as well as measure reservoir pressure on cables and pipes.

As a reminder, in January 2024, Ukrnafta announced a tender for conducting geophysical explorations for UAH 98.3 million (excluding VAT) at the fields of the oil and gas production administrations Boryslavnaftogaz, Nadvirnaftogaz and Dolynanaftogaz. However, due to the lack of bids, the tender was canceled.
