Ukrgasvydobuvannya increased gas production by 1.8% in January for the first time in 4 years

Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC (UGV) in January 2022 compared to January last year increased the volume of natural gas production by 1.8% (21 mcm) up to 1.19 bcm. This was reported by the company's press service.

The natural gas volumes transferred for the needs of Ukrainian consumers (sales gas – excluding internal consumption) is 1.12 bcm, which is 2% (23 mcm) more than in January 2021.

According to ExPro estimates, UGV's average daily gas production in January amounted to 38.3 mcm per day, the highest value since November 2020.

According to the UGV, the growth of production was facilitated by the measures completed in January 2022, namely drilling and commissioning of four new wells, workover in eleven wells, 58 coiled tubing operations, fourteen hydraulic fracturing operations, and 283 logging and other works in the wells.

Additionally, YTD UGV has commissioned the Komyshnya-Yablunivka gas pipeline, 26 km long and 219 mm in diameter, and three new small booster compressor stations (SBCS).
