Ukrenergo starts reconstruction of Kryvorizka substation
The Ukrenergo NPC SE has launched the reconstruction of the 330 kV Kryvorizka under the financial support provided by Germany, as reported by the company’s press service.
The works will be conducted by the GE Grid GmbH International Consortium (Germany) and Chornomorenerhospetsmontazh (Ukraine) KfW as financed with a loan issued by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and managed by the KfW Reconstruction Credit Institute.
“The reconstruction of 330 kV open switchgear(OSG) at the substation will replace all high-voltage equipment, relay protection and automation devices with the introduction of an automated technological process control system”, said the company’s press service, while adding that such measures will reduce the cost of annual repairs, since the new equipment does not require maintenance, as well as improve the safety and reliability of electricity transmission in Kryvyi Rih district and move the company closer to the introduction of remote control at substations in Ukraine.
