Ukrenergo requests emergency aid from Belarus with a capacity of 500 MW due to increase in consumption in IPS

NEC Ukrenergo has requested emergency assistance in the form of electricity imports with a capacity of 500 MWh, from the state production association (FEE) Belenergo, which acts as the transmission system operator of the Republic of Belarus, due to a significant power shortage in the Integrated Power System of Ukraine.

This was reported by the system operator Ukrenergo, ExPro.

"We confirm the emergency assistance from the Republic of Belarus to the 500 MW Integrated Power System of Ukraine. We are confirming the emergency assistance to Burshtyn Energy Island from Slovakia in 100 MW," the Ukrenergo press center reported.

In particular, according to Ukrenergo data on the operation of the power system, on November 2, 2021, there is an increase in consumption in the Integrated Power System of Ukraine during the day (13:00-16:00 hourly consumptions) by 900 - 734 MW compared to November 1, or by 1586 - 1417 MW compared to last Tuesday (October 26, 2021).
