"Ukrenergo" proposes to increase the transmission tariff for 2023 by 1.8 times - to UAH 636.17/MWh

The operator of the transmission system NEC "Ukrenergo" proposes to set the electricity transmission tariff at the level of UAH 636.17/MWh for the next year 2023, which is 1.84 times more than the current tariff for 2022.

The system operator has published drafts of changes in tariffs for transmission and dispatch management for the year 2023 for open discussion.

Relevant projects are published on the official website of NEC "Ukrenergo". In 2023, according to the project of changes, the expected volume of electricity transmission is 106,135,000 MWh, which is 26% less than the expectations for 2022.

The most in the structure of costs according to the tariff are the costs for the performance of special duties to ensure public interests - UAH 33.878 billion (50% of the tariff). For the year 2022, planned expenses for ensuring general public interests, according to the current tariff, were at the level of UAH 22.648 billion.

"According to the results of the calculations, the tariff for electricity transmission services for system users (except for "green" electrometallurgy enterprises) for 2023 will be UAH 636.17/MWh. and increases by UAH 290.53/MWh. in comparison with the current tariff", - it is stated in the project of changes.

Also, it is proposed to raise the tariff for the dispatching (operational and technological) management service by 3.3 times - up to UAH 207.63/MWh. It is planned to spend the most on the purchase of auxiliary services - 94.8% of the tariff amount. NEC "Ukrenergo" will accept proposals and comments on the proposed changes until September 29, 2022.
