Ukrburgaz set a new drilling record of over 40 thousand meters in April 2024

In April 2024, Ukrburgaz Drilling Division of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC set a new absolute record for drilling volumes during the month - 40.06 thousand meters. This is evidenced by ExPro calculations.

Compared to the previous month, Ukrburgaz drilling volumes increased by 57% - from 25.6 thousand meters in March to 40.1 thousand meters in April 2024. Compared to April last year, drilling increased by 24%. Last April, the company also set a record for monthly penetration.

According to the plan, the company was to drill 33.8 thousand meters in April. Thus, Ukrburgaz managed to exceed the drilling plan by 18.5%. The average daily drilling rate during the month was over 1.3 thousand meters. According to ExPro estimates, 32.7 thousand meters were drilled for production and 7.3 thousand meters for exploration.

Currently, 42 drilling rigs of Ukrgasvydobuvannya are in operation, and none of the rigs are idle.

In total, Ukrburgaz drilled 102 thousand meters in the first 4 months of 2024, which is 2% more than in the same period last year. As reported by NaftoRynok, in the first months of the year, Ukrgasvydobuvannya recorded a sharp drop in drilling volumes.

As a reminder, in February, Ukrburgaz was headed by Yuriy Kalmuk, who previously headed the Ukrgazpromgeofizyka Geophysical Department of UGV. In January 2024, Ivan Sushynsky left the position of Ukrburgaz Director.
