Ukraine is not yet considering restrictions on electricity exports to Europe - Kudrytskyi

Ukraine is not yet considering the possibility of limiting the export of electricity to the European Union.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the Chairman of the Board of NEC "Ukrenergo", announced this during a briefing on the topic "Prospects of the heating season: will Ukrainian consumers have electricity in winter?"

"Export restrictions are not considered. Its expansion is under consideration... Our plans are the exact opposite of what has been announced in some media. It is clear that we will promptly monitor the situation in the energy system and our Ukrainian consumers will always be our priority," Kudrytskyi said.

Also, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi announced that next week there will be another meeting of the Regional Group in ENTSO-E, which can make decisions on expanding the possibilities of electricity supplies from Ukraine.

"Next week, we will ask questions not about a decrease, but about an increase in the export limit," Kudrytskyi said.

Also, Kudrytskyi indicated that there are no plans to apply consumer restrictions during the heating season.
