Ukraine introduces capacity restrictions for industry and business

On Wednesday, November 13, capacity restrictions for business and industrial consumers will be temporarily introduced. This was reported by the transmission system operator NPC Ukrenergo.

The reason for introducing capacity restriction schedules is a short-term decrease in the capacity of shunting generation and a significant decrease in the volume of electricity imports. The restrictions will be in effect during the day.

In the evening, after eliminating the remarks on the equipment operation, the restrictions will be lifted.

No restrictions are expected for household consumers.

As reported in ExPro, electricity consumption is growing, there is a need for economical consumption, especially during the morning and evening peak hours. Electricity imports remain at a low level, which is associated with the increase in prices in neighboring markets, in particular, in Hungary and Romania. 45 thousand MWh have been imported since the beginning of the month.

Over the past three days, imports per day have not exceeded 2 thousand MWh.
