Ukraine has appealed to the OSCE, the European Commission and the United Nations to ensure nuclear security

Ukraine appealed to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the European Commission and the United Nations to ensure nuclear security in the country.

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko and the Head of the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine Oleh Korikov and the Head of the NNEGC Energoatom Petro Kotin addressed joint statements to these organizations.

In its requirements, Ukraine:

• Insists that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in our country establish round-the-clock monitoring and analysis of the situation at all domestic nuclear facilities, including the Chernobyl and Zaporizhzhya NPPs, as well as other Ukrainian operating nuclear power plants.
• Points out that a special mission of the European Commission is needed to find out the situation at the captured Chernobyl and Zaporizhzhya NPPs
• Insists on a special UN mission to ensure the safety of all nuclear facilities in Ukraine, especially at the seized Chernobyl and Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plants.

Also, the Ukrainian side in all appeals to European organizations informs that the actions of the Russian army - criminal and have signs of nuclear terrorism.

In connection with Russia's military aggression, Ukraine calls on all international partners to do everything possible to prevent a global nuclear catastrophe.
