Ukraine has accumulated over 10 bcm of gas in underground storage facilities

Naftogaz Group reports that natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities (UGS) exceeded 10 bcm on July 22, 2024.

According to Naftogaz, more than 2.5 bcm of natural gas have been injected into underground storage facilities since this year's injection season.

Naftogaz expects that by November 1, 13.2 bcm of natural gas will be accumulated in the storage facilities, enough to last through the heating season.

“The pace of gas accumulation allows us to optimistically forecast the fulfillment of the plan, namely 13.2 bcm by November 1. I am grateful to all the specialists who are doing their job efficiently despite the war,” commented Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz.
