UGV increased gas production by 67 mcm in 2021 due to intensification in the wells with water breakthrough

In 2021, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC applied capillary system technology in 75 wells, which allows intensifying gas production in complicated wells prone to liquids build-up, which made it possible to produce an additional 67 mcm of gas.

The technology of capillary systems in UGV has been applied only for a year. During this year it was possible to increase gas production in old wells by 67 mcm and, accordingly, reduce internal technological consumption.

In the wells of the Bytkiv-Babchynske field in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, due to the use of capillary systems, the daily flow rate increased by over 40%, to 70 tcm of gas.
