UGV increased gas production at the Komyshnyanske field by 2.3 times

Ukrgasvydobuvannya increased the average daily natural gas production rate at the Komyshnyanske field by 2.3 times compared to last year. This is reported in the publication Poltavschyna.

Thus, the average daily production of natural gas at the Komyshnyanske field increased from 0.6 mcm a day, to 1.4 mcm a day over the year.

Although the field has a complex structure, gas deposits at a depth of more than 5,000 m, and high pressure, which significantly complicates production, the company's specialists have planned an effective development program. And this program gives significant results thanks to the successful drilling of new wells.

The latter (well No. 58) was drilled this year with a depth of 6,040 m, with an initial flow rate of 200 tcm a day, and according to geologists' forecasts, its productivity will continue to grow.

UGV continues to actively develop this field, considering that its potential for hydrocarbon production is much greater. Therefore, at the field drilling, another new well has already started, and there are plans for the next six months — two more wells.

The Komyshnyanske gas condensate field is one of the most promising in the eastern region. It was discovered in 1984 and commissioned in 1995. The resource base at the time of operation was about 14 bcm of gas.
