Three more regional gas companies joined the Naftogaz Group

Three new regional gas companies (Kyivoblgaz JSC, Zhytomyrgaz JSC, and Lvivgaz JSC) joined the Naftogaz Group.

"The creation of a monolithic gas distribution system that works 24/7 for the comfort of customers is one of the central goals of the Naftogaz Group. Under the coordination of the state, work in the regions is based on the principles of technical optimization and mutual support," the company commented.

Chornomornaftogaz JSC is the manager of the shares of the mentioned companies. Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC (Gazmerezhi brand) is a management company designed to become a national operator of gas distribution.

Naftogaz noted that according to this principle, the Kropyvnytskyi, Dnipro, and Kharkiv branches of Gazmerezhi have received proper licensing and are fully functioning under state management. Also, the process of expanding the territory of carrying out economic activity on the distribution of natural gas to the cities of Kharkiv and Kryvyi Rih is ongoing.

One may remind that to stabilize the energy sector, the Government instructed Naftogaz Group to manage the stakes in several regional and city gas distribution companies. This is regulated by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated May 28, 2022, No. 429-r "Some issues of asset management, which have been seized in criminal proceedings, in exceptional cases."
