The Verkhovna Rada supported the corporatization of Energoatom

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in general the draft law "On JSC "National Nuclear Energy Generating Company "Energoatom". The corresponding decision was made on February 6, "for" - 259 people's deputies.

The initiators of this draft law were representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing - Ostap Shipailo, Andrii Gerus, Serhiy Nagornyak, Anna Skorokhod and others.

The relevant draft law was registered in September 2022.

Prior to that, in August, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine had already submitted to the Parliament the draft law "On the peculiarities of the formation of the joint-stock company "NNECG "Energoatom", which also determined the procedure for the creation of JSC for a nuclear company.

However, on September 20, the Committee on Anti-corruption Policy issued a conclusion that the draft Law of Ukraine "On the peculiarities of the formation of the joint-stock company "National Atomic Power Generating Company "Energoatom"" (reg. No. 7650) does not meet the requirements of the anti-corruption legislation in certain regulations.
