The SSGSU to auction 8 oil& gas acreages of Ukraine

On April 8, 2020, the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine (SSGSU) announced online auctions of special permits for 8 oil& gas acreages of Ukraine, in particular:

These acreage lots have been uploaded on the ProZorro.Sale public e-procurement portal.

Bid proposals for the auctions are accepted until July 5, 2020, and determination of winners is scheduled for July 6, 2020.

In addition to the oil&gas acreages, the SSGSU put up for auction 10 acreages with deposits of amber, granite, quartz sand, pegmatite, sandstone, clay, underground spring waters. Since the beginning of the year, thirty acreages have been auctioned online, 22 of which have been nominated by subsoil-users themselves.

"The Investment Atlas is working in an enhanced mode, we are constantly updating the information in it, we are generating interesting offers for investors, there are 134 such proposals now," said the SSGSU’s Chairman Roman Opimakh, "All information in the Atlas is available online, anyone who wants to develop Ukrainian subsoil can choose an attractive acreage and initiate it for an auction, or nominate for an online auction. We encourage potential investors to consider opportunities offered by the SSGSU, and, on our part, we will create favorable conditions for development of extractive sector."

As reported by the SSGSU, currently, there are more than 60 applications for participation in auctions of permits for subsoil use, including nominations of new acreages for auctioning by the SSGSU. The nominated acreages are currently under expertise by the State Research and Production Enterprise “State Geological Information Fund of Ukraine”, and will shortly be submitted to the Ministry of Energy for approval of their future auctioning.
