The second power unit of the Khmelnytska NPP has been taken out for emergency repairs
The second power unit of the Khmelnytska NPP has been disconnected from the network. This was reported in "Energoatom".
"Yesterday, March 13, at 5:48 p.m., fluctuations in the parameter of the axial shift of the rotor of the high-pressure cylinder of the turbo-unit with an increasing trend were recorded. In the conditions of a surplus on the electricity market, a decision was made to shut down the turbine unit to find out and eliminate the cause of the deviation," the nuclear company said in a statement.
Currently, 7 NPP power units are in operation. The total capacity of the NPP is 5900 MW.
As previously reported, "Energoatom" started a repair campaign on March 8, one of the power units of the NPP was taken out for planned repair.
