The SBI blocked the scheme of embezzlement of funds at Poltavagazvydobuvannya

The SBI employees reported the suspicion to the chief geologist of Poltavagasvydobuvannya gas industry management, which is part of Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC (UПМ). According to the SBI, he and his accomplices stole UAH 4.6 million from the company and "laundered" it through the conversion center.

As reported in the SBI, the officials of Poltavagasvydobuvannya together with accomplices artificially inflated the expected cost of gas-hydrodynamic studies. They organized the holding of tenders in a non-competitive manner and falsified the victory in the bidding of specially identified companies.

The actual execution of these studies was provided by the forces of the state enterprise at a price that was many times lower than that determined by the results of the tender.

Currently, 14 searches are being conducted in the Poltava region at the place of work and residence of persons who are probably involved in the embezzlement of Poltavagasvydobuvannya funds allocated for research.
