The number of Ukrainian UGS clients increased by 15% in 2023

In 2023, Ukrtransgaz, which is part of the Naftogaz Group, increased the number of underground gas storage (UGS) customers by 15% to 1,234. This is reported by the company's press service.

"Despite all the risks of war, in 2023 we were able to increase the number of Ukrainian UGS customers by 15%. This year, from 1,234 partners, the number of our clients has increased to 157 foreign traders," reports Naftogaz.

The company expects this trend to continue, as stock exchange prices for gas in Europe have reached a minimum, European storages are full, and volumes of gas imports to the region remain high.

At the same time, according to Naftogaz, Ukraine offers competitive prices for gas storage, and independent technical expertise has confirmed the stability of the system even in wartime conditions.
