The IAEA mission may arrive at the Zaporizhzhya NPP as early as next week - Zerkal

The mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency may arrive at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant as early as next week, and logistical aspects are currently being considered.

This was announced by Lana Zerkal, adviser to the Minister of Energy, for the "Radio NV".

"They (the Russians - ed.) are raising the stakes because the visit of the IAEA mission is scheduled for next week. And now all the logistical routes are being decided, how they will arrive. Despite the fact that the Russians have agreed that the mission will pass through the territory of Ukraine, they are artificially creating these conditions now so that the mission does not reach the object, taking into account the situation around it," - reports A mirror

As reported in ExPro, on August 25, power units No. 5 and No. 6 were disconnected from the grid at the Zaporizhzhia NPP captured by the Russians, with the subsequent activation of emergency protection.

As of 9:00 a.m. on August 26, all power units of the ZNPP are disconnected from the grid while preparations are underway for the power-on of power units No. 5 and No. 6.
