The head of Naftogaz met with the executive vice-president of the European Commission, Marosh Šefčovych

Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC, held a meeting with the Executive Vice President of the European Commission, Marosh Shefchovych.

The main issues of the meeting were readiness for the heating season and further plans for the integration of Ukrainian potential into the European energy architecture.

According to Chernyshov, the European colleague highly appreciated the work done. This is the filling of gas storage facilities with the required amount of gas, and cooperation with non-residents who currently store gas in Ukrainian gas storage facilities.

"Ukraine is an integral part of the European energy infrastructure with great potential. We must lay the foundations for the relevant reforms now. It is about the implementation of the energy market, which we actively continue to work on," Chernyshov commented.
